I adored the charming decor, with vintage furniture and original fireplaces that added a cozy touch to the lounges, inviting guests to relax and enjoy the beautiful views of the surrounding gardens and countryside.
Elevator accessibility for upper floors would be helpful.

Breathtaking views of the Lake District, unique cultural heritage, artistic and unique decor
Staff availability is a significant issue!!! It took far too long to get assistance when needed. a broader dinner menu would keep guests from venturing out to local eateries!!! The current limited options just don't cut it!!!

The gardens surrounding the hotel were absolutely stunning, with
lots of space for our dogs to play freely. The breakfast was delicious, but the dinner prices felt quite steep for the menu choices available. It would have been nice to have more affordable options.

Couple's Delight in Nature
Walks from the door and friendly service made it feel like home. The breakfast was something else — warm and filling, just what two weary travelers need.
It wasn't exactly pocket change, but still worth every penny.

Breathtaking views of the surrounding hills, offering a serene landscape that’s perfect for unwinding after a day of adventure. The charming Poet’s Bar features a cozy atmosphere with log fires, ideal for relaxing with a drink after exploring the nearby trails.
The dining experience could use some improvement as the menu felt limited, especially for those with dietary restrictions—only one gluten-free option available during my stay. the layout of the room left something to be desired. the kettle was positioned under the TV, which raised safety concerns due to steam exposure, and the shower didn't maintain consistent hot water. Cleanliness was another area needing attention, as some cups weren’t cleaned properly upon arrival, which put a slight damper on the stay.

The Lancrigg’s stunning grounds made me feel welcome right from the start. I appreciated the cozy, clean Double Room I stayed in, decorated with character. The mountaintop views were incredible, especially in the morning light with mist rolling in. The staff’s hospitality stood out. they were friendly and attentive. Breakfast offered delightful Full English options that fueled my hikes. the Wi-Fi in my room was spotty, which disrupted some planning for my day trips. I also wish the dinner menu had offered more variety. I felt a little limited in choices. Nevertheless, the dining experience was pleasant overall, with food quality making up for the limited options. The location is perfect for accessing trails and exploring Grasmere, which added to the trip's charm.

The culinary adventure at Lancrigg was a delight, especially the vegan pizza that was a sheer taste explosion! Plus, the packed lunches were spot on for our walks to Helm Crag and Easedale Tarn. The staff were hard-working and made our stay extra special.
Our room (Nightingale) had a few hiccups—heating issues and a bathroom in need of some TLC. We felt a tad overlooked with the breakfast offerings lacking variety and no apology for our inconveniences.

Cozy stay with lovely views
We spent 2 nights in a charming double room. The location was stunning with beautiful woods surrounding. It felt so cozy! The dining wasn’t great, though. Breakfast was a bit of a mess, and we didn't eat dinner because the menu choices were really limited. But the lounge area was nice to hang out in.

Charming stay with room for improvement
We enjoyed a delightful two-night retreat with beautiful grounds and cozy rooms. The staff were accommodating and friendly, going out of their way to prepare gluten-free meals. the limited dining options and repetitive music during meals could be enhanced. Make sure to bring snacks for variety!
